What started with a question—“where is that book?”—culminated in a generous donation to the Library Foundation from a local fourth grader named Brooks, who couldn’t find the book he wanted amidst his collection. He decided to clean out his room of all the books he’d read and host a book sale in his front yard. The whole family got involved in making a project plan, creating and posting flyers, and greeting neighbors with home-baked goods and lemonade for sale alongside the books. They raised $250 to support the Library, which he chose because “I love to read, and the Library is a great space available to everyone”—well said, Brooks!
